Background |
In 1981 Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad inherited his Father's stevedoring company Ahmad Bin Yusof Brothers Company, founded in 1959. Renamed to Abdul Saman Ahmad Freight Forwarding and today commonly known as ASAFF, the business has expanded to include air and sea freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing, port operations and other related services.
From this start Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad has developed several other businesses, incorporating ASAFF Telecommunication Services Sdn Bhd in May 2000, to compete in the burgeoning telecommunications sector. From its inception ASAFF has worked closely with its global partners to provide the very best to its customers. |

Current Activities |
ASAFF has been responsible for bringing many well respected multinational companies to Brunei Darrussalam to participate in Telecommunication and IT projects. Our partners include Ericsson, Tata Consultancy Services, ADC, Giesecke & Devrient and Kongsberg Defense Communications (KDC). ASAFF has the full backing and unique technical expertise of multinational partners at its disposal and local market knowledge and understandings. Proud of past achievements and confident in the future and ASAFF fully expects significant and continuous growth over the years to come. |

The Founder and Executive Chairman of ASAFF
Group and active member of both intra and extra national bodies
engaged in economic development. He has interests in logistics,
shipping, education, telecommunications and information
technology. Through ASAFF's subsidiary, Circle Freight
International Sdn Bhd, Haji Abdul Saman Ahmad was instrumental
in setting up BIACC Sdn Bhd, a joint venture with Royal Brunei
Airlines created to ground handling of cargo loading and freight
services at Cargo Terminal, Brunei International Airport. Haji
Abdul Saman Ahmad has served as Secretary General of the
National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam and
held official posts on several other trade organisations.
